The speed of the songs in How We Heal are reminiscent of birds, seemingly gliding from one wind current to another, and they follow a similar grace as well. Some tracks emanate slow evolving melodies while others emphasize soundscapes reminiscent of Tetsuo Innoue's work. Then, there is Paint The Sky, where Cynthia's voice takes center stage and the entire composition soars into an entirely different ethereal plane from the rest of the album. It is healing through aural mindfulness.
